Ingest & Prep Workflow Requirements

Introduction

The Translator Ingest and Prep workflow is a combination of two Translator Tickets: “TL-8483: Full QC Information in TL Asset Pages” and “TL-10230 Create Ingest & Prep Record”. The Program Operations users currently perform this workflow in a Google Sheet. By intergrating their workflow into Translator, our goal is to increase accountability and to provide users with additional tools that wil optimize the process of sending on-time content to clients.

Requirements: TL-8483 Full QC Information

The "GMO_PREP_MEDIATOR_TRACKER" that the program operations users use to record the QC and due dates of their assets.

Description

A Program Operations user updates production delivery schedule, quality control workflow, and status information in Translator for centralized visibility, which can then be used in the automated processing system to streamline the day’s content workflow.

9/28/18 Requirements

  1. Place columns A-C from the EC Prep Doc spreadsheet in Asset Dashboard, will ask ops for columns O-T

  2. Features Needed:

    • Due date

    • Air date

    • Status with following options: Pending delivery, Overnight Delivery, In-House, Failed- Redelivered, Failed- Fix in House, Fixed Re-Ingested, Hold for QC, QC Pass

  1. Notes/edits: Need to exist as a comment thread. Optional fields for:

    • Time stamp

    • Edit needed

    • File fix name

    • Button to add another fix

    • Additional comments

  2. Check box when fixes are made

10/22/18 Requirement Updates

  1. Update module name in actions menu and title to be called Provide QC Information or similar

  2. Have mock show information for this feature in asset info tab of the side panel log

  3. Show how to access this module via the series page

  4. Rename Done to Edit Complete/Fix Complete or similar


12/19/18 Requirement Updates

  1. Work on demonstrating what three edits would look like

  2. Show the full qc information being added in the side panel log

  3. Vchip would be an editable field

1/03/19 Requirement Updates

  1. Add in icon letting people know they can drag and re-arrange, with tool tip, drag to re-arrange rows in the modal

  2. Add in the ability to auto fill date by days, i.e. auto fill beginning 01/01/19 every 7 days maybe we keep it above the materials the auto fill option like existing in production. (Take a look at the modal in qa/prod)

  3. Remove the arrow icon from date and vchip fields, put small button/word for fill which would bulk fill a date, status, vchip

  4. Change order of status options in dropdown to below and remove the hyphen between In-House option:

    • Pending Delivery

    • Overnight Delivery

    • Failed-Redelivered

    • In House

    • Failed- Fix in House

    • Fixed Re-Ingested

    • Hold for QC

    • QC Pass

  5. Show how user enters the VCHIP (freeform field)

  6. For mock, show the asset info tab just showing full qc information (not examples with mastering/restrictions in it because it’s too much for trying to present (different teams), so full log showing maybe the different updates made to things while on the modal. Also let’s remove the description under note/edit marked as complete, i.e.

    • Production Delivery Date Update Production delivery date was changed from 01/05/19 to 01/10/19.

    • Status Update: A status of Overnight Delivery was added.

    • VCHIP Update: VCHIP of PG-13 was added.

    • Edit/Note Request Added. (Specifically edit information added does not need to display in log)

Requirements: TL-10230 Create Ingest & Prep Record

Description

To mitigate issues relating to the lack of dependencies that delay the full quality control process and the lost of specific details when materials are deleted, users will be able to add information in Translator that will be tied to a unique record number created upon initial entry that will be safely stored away regardless of further creation or deletion of materials. Users will also have a way to link ingest and prep record information to additional materials as needed.

5/20/19 Requirements

  1. Rename the Production delivery Date modal to be Create an Ingest & Prep Record and also rename it in the asset dashboard action menu

  2. When creating a new record, Translator would assign a unique prep record ID, let's use convention INGPREP_PROD#_SEQUENTIAL # PREP RECORD CREATION)

    • INGPREP_G5001_1

    • INGPREP_G5001_2

    • INGPREP_G5003_3

    That ID would live with the record forever.

  3. Complete the following in the modal:

    • Add record level status field to update the status of the record (Open, In Progress, Complete, Cancelled, Re-Opened, On Hold)

    • Rename Status in current mock to "QC Status"

    • Add field for Ingest & Prep Record Status in the modal bulk section and as a column in the modal

  4. *** I'm thinking, should we just do the modal/form, combined so that when you action on ingest & prep record from action menu it takes you to a form you made like the edit/notes, and theres sections for Ingest & Prep Record Information and you would have the fields for production delivery date, qc status, vchip, needs full qc, record ID status? i feel like that makes it a better user experience. let me know your thoughts. also on this, you can include how to applt GMO IDS it relates to.

  1. In the mock- when showing the asset dashboard and asset dashboard side panel and log:

    • Suggested display on dashboard in this column order

    • Adding in a few columns that don't yet exist today but would with this story order of columns from left to right:

    • Show the log if someone adding/updating/removing this information
